Mahalo Doesn't Mean "Trash"

Here's the deal...Dinah is finished with weddings...Joel is finished filming weddings...The only other option out here is tanning on the beaches...And that DOESN'T pay the rent. So looking at our other 49 options we decided to take the leap of faith to Texas. Yes, Texas. We understand that this decision may create some confusion. To help clarify our motives for making this wonderfully drastic change we have included a FAQ section below for your purusal.



Q. What's in Texas?
A. An economy where you can actually buy a house and not have to sign away your first born
A diverse job market where you don't always have to answer the phone with "Aloha"
Less time/money involved in visiting family (or them visiting the baby more like it)
A climate that is condusive to year-round motorcycling

Q. When?
A. October 1 we fly to LA to pick up our car which we shipped (see below) then we take the road trip to TX.
Q. Where are you going to live?
A. Our car, well almost, we're staying in hotels and with family while using Hilari and Jason's place as a TX address while we check out southern TX. We like what we have heard and read about Austin, so that will be our main focus, but we will also check out San Antonio and Houston. We know a huge hurricane just destroyed that area, and in fact Hilari and Jason still don't have power so they're in Dallas, but we're still going.

Q. Do you have jobs in TX? What will you do there?
A. No jobs as of yet, but hopefully soon after we arrive.
So for the first time since Dinah and I have been together (4 years), we are going to live on the Mainland US. Its a bitter sweet, but overall we're excited and ready. This is the best time for us to make this move--before we put down real roots here.
