More Tricks than Treats

Just a quick Halloween post!  We had a lot of fun at Trunk-or-Treat this year.  Our trunk was decorated as a spider web with a HUGE spider guarding it.  The trick-or-treaters had to stick their hand into the web to get their candy.  MUHA MUHA MUHA!

Oh and our costumes...

What a cute family!
Me?  I was...FABULOUS!

A dead surfer and his monkey son.

I think this might be our Christmas photo.
Shout out to my sister Eden...If it wasn't for all the years in the 80's and 90's I watched you do your bangs I wouldn't have known how to do them for Halloween!  hehehe

"Is Your Dad A Baker?"

Every now and then I get an itch to bake!  And with all these blogs of super creative people who can make just about anything out of just about anything I decided to try one of their creations.  P.S.  I'm really good at copying...but that's the point of these people posting right?  So others can make what they did?

My baking post!

Brownie Mix

Brownies!
(I'm really good at narrating)

Licorice for the legs

Brownie balls...(C-1's got balls!) hahaha

Spider Bites!

Spooky!
Kinda forgot to take a good picture of the finished product but I think they turned out pretty good!  For the real thing you can check out Bakerella at bakerella.com.

P.S.S.  Yes my Dad IS a baker!  That's why I have such nice buns!

Do you know the Pumpkin Man?

Tis the season for pumpkin patches!  This one was so much fun (Country Mercantile for those of you in the area).  We went during the day on a week day so we got our own personal hay ride, no crowded pumpkin patch, checked out the petting zoo and even went through the corn maze with hardly any one else around.  Excellent!

The Smell of a Big City

We went to Seattle last weekend just for a quick trip.  I  LOVED IT!  I really miss being near a big city. We got a
couple of the attractions in: Space Needle and Pikes Place Market.  Our hotel had a sweet view of the space needle and was right down town so we could walk right out our hotel into the action.

Ready to hit the town

Space needle

Outside Experience Music Project

Pikes Place Market - This place was A-MA-ZING!  I could've stayed there all day just to watch everything going on.

One of the "fish-throwing-guys."  Riley: "Um...Mom?  What the..."

B-E-A-Utiful Flowers.  Oh and they were only $5.00!  No tax.  Just $5.00!  There were tables and tables of fresh flowers.

Orange...Need I say more?

Not a TOTAL Genius!

Html what?  Added to my mile long list of "things to learn" is "What is html and how do I WRITE it?"

HELP!

It's nothing extremely complex (i don't think) what I want to do...I just want to change the font on my blog.  I already know how to change it using the pre loaded fonts in blogger but how do I upload a font of my choice?

Anyone...Anyone...Bueller...Bueller?  (is that spelled right?)

Oldish Pictures

We got these pictures taken when Riley was just one month old but just now got them back.  I forget how small he was!

For Gramcracker and Grandpa OD

Picture update for Gramcracker and Grandpa OD.  We miss you!

Prosser Balloon Rally

Bedtime Stories with Dad (the sticker says "$.50" from a garage sale)

Riley is so chunky he gets stuck getting out of his Bumbo!

Hanging out with Kona the Honu.

Loves the Hymns...Ok, I admit...I took this picture at church during Sunday School.  I didn't use the flash though!

Right after Riley wakes up from his nap he pokes his head up to see if anyone is there.

Now that's a STACHE!

If there were no night...

I'm not one to share my testimony very often.  But right this very instance my heart is overflowing with thanks and love for my Savior.  How blessed I am to have the gospel in my life.  I know that my Savior lives!  And I also know that He died for me and for each one of us.  And because of His Atonement we have the opportunity to live with him again some day.  What a blessing!

I'm so grateful that because of my parents being sealed for time and all eternity that our family will have the blessing of being together forever.  I love my family!  I am so grateful for the love and support they are to me.  I am so grateful that in times of need we can all pull together in spirit and love.

I recently came across this quote from James E. Faust that has given me strength.

"If there were no night, we would not appreciate the day, nor could we see the stars and the vastness of the heavens. We must partake of the bitter with the sweet. There is a divine purpose in the adversities we encounter every day. They prepare, they purge, they purify, and thus they bless." ~James E. Faust
