My Great Need for A Day Outside!

When we first moved to Oahu we couldn't understand how WHITE some people could be here! I mean we live on an island with beautiful beaches all around us...how could you not have some tint of color? Well...since we moved to the middle of the island away from the beaches and got "real" jobs where we are mostly inside we have been loosing our color FAST! The other day I got sick of it and made sure my next day off was spent outside the whole day. Joel had a meeting in the morning so I hung out in Waikiki getting some sun. After his meeting we went hiking in Manoa Valley to Manoa Falls. It was a gorgeous hike and the falls were so high! The trail was surrounded by greenery with a tall canopy over head and two bamboo forrests. In 2002 there was a landslide by the falls so the pool at the bottom was roped off. We were so hot from the hike and craving some fresh water that we went for a swim any way. It was well worth it. After the hike...we hit the beach. It was such a good day and we definately got some of our color back. Here are some of our favorite pictures from the day.

Hey Dinah! I've been wondering for so long where you are and what you've been up to! Now I know! I'm sooo jealous...Hawaii! Sounds like you guys are having the time of your lives down there! Your job would be my dream job! I love the pictures of the beaches, waterfalls, etc. Especially cuz we're stuck here in SD, yup you heard me, enjoying this very blizardy winter. Troy's at USD right now. Zac Nesbit and his wife live here too. We're moving back to Rapid this summer for 2 years where he'll finish school. Crazy eh! It's gonna be so wierd living there again, but cool. Anyway, thanks for getting in touch. Can't wait to see more pictures from Hawaii!!! PS- What's your husband's name?
